PACE Commuter Toolkit

PACE commuter bus

Commuter Resources as Part of Workforce Development

A commuter program can be part of your workforce strategy, where employees are encouraged to commute to work by methods other than driving alone.

Pace Bus offers resources that can help Chicago metropolitan employers to:

  • improve employee retention by providing a reliable and affordable way to work,
  • expand the potential labor pool through increased access,
  • boost employee productivity by eliminating the stress caused by driving and save on taxes through payroll deductions, and
  • enhance their own image as an environmentally and employee friendly company.

Resources Available to Employers

Creating a Commuter Program:
Pace can help your business create a Commuter Program to incentivize van pooling or other mass transit options.

Pace Commuter Toolkit:
The Pace Commuter Toolkit is designed to assist employers with educating their workforce on their workday commute, starting or enhancing a commuter program and providing ready-to-use materials and money-saving resources.

Pace Employer Commuter Grant:
Pace also offers an Employer Commuter Grant to help defray the costs of establishing and running your Commuter Program.
