Our Basic Services are completely open to the public. To access these services, we ask that you complete a Service Card form.
Friday Job Club
Friday Job Club is held twice monthly, from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon. It is a great opportunity to network with other job seekers and share job lead information, as well as to get job search advice and guidance from Jim Fergle, our Employment Services Manager.
Plus, each meeting of the job club features an expert guest speaker who presents on special topics related to your job search. These presentations begin at 9:30 am. Space is limited to 85 attendees.

Introductory Job Search Workshops
We offer several introductory workshops that cover fundamental aspects of job search, including:
- Computer Fundamentals
- Kickstart Your Job Search
- Veterans Job Search and Resources
Job Search Resource Room
The Resource Room offers free access to computers with internet, copiers, fax machines, and printers. You can also login to AtoZDatabases to research employers.
Job seekers can receive assistance with their internet job search and use of Illinois workNet.
The Resource Room also offers an extensive selection of books on resume writing, interviewing, job search strategy, job retention, and professional development.
The Resource Room is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Small Job Fairs are held in the our career center periodically. Typically, there are 6 to 12 different employers/companies in attendance, recruiting for jobs in a variety of industries.
