Boot Camp is an intensive four-day series of workshops, packed with the latest information on conducting an effective job search. All sessions run from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Monday-Thursday, January 13-January 16
DAY 1 – JOB SEARCH 101
Discover how to use online resources to conduct self-assessment, research companies, and gain information on the development of a job lead.
DAY 2 – RESUME 101 Craft a resume that gets noticed. This workshop covers how to develop a professional summary and accomplishment statement to stand out in the resume stack.
DAY 3 – INTERVIEWING 101 Learn the components of effective networking and informational interviewing.
DAY 4 – INTERVIEWING 102
The interview process consists of different types of formats including phone, video/skype, and face-to-face. Prepare for behavioral interviews by developing answers that address employers’ needs. Examples of relevant questions used during interviews will be covered.

To get this job, you typically need a Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with electrical, hydraulics, programming, and mechanical PLCs is required.
We pay $2.00 per hour shift differential for all time worked on 3rd shift. *Rate of pay depends on one’s experience, education, and skills.

All Technicians are sent to College of DuPage for classes. Technicians are scheduled for a series of six mechanical and six electrical classes. Classes are during work hours, so Technicians are paid for their time in class. We adjust their hours to spend half their shift on the floor and the balance in the class. Jel Sert pays for this training which includes classroom and lab work. All Technicians are involved in this training despite their experience level.
