Reset, Reframe, Reimagine: Your Career Journey Starts Now! With Courtney Hedderman, AARP Illinois.

Friday, October 24th 9 AM - 11 AM.

Are you over 50 and exploring new career opportunities? This empowering session is designed to help you shift your mindset, embrace your strengths, and confidently navigate the modern job market. We’ll explore how to reset limiting beliefs, reframe your experience as a powerful asset, and reimagine your professional future with optimism and purpose.

Courtney Hedderman
Senior Associate State Director – Advocacy & Outreach, AARP Illinois
Bio: 

Courtney joined AARP Illinois in 2005 and is responsible for advocacy efforts and grassroots outreach in support of federal and state advocacy specifically for health care policy; development and implementation of community education and outreach programs; building relationships with other community partners; and chapter management. Courtney’s outreach efforts fall within Illinois Congressional Districts 3, 6, 11, 14, and 16.

In addition, she has led national campaigns: Stop Rx Greed; Protect Medicare; Divided We Fail; the Affordable Care Act; and Protect Seniors. Prior to AARP, Courtney was employed as a Public Policy Director for Health & Disability Advocates, a national policy and advocacy organization working on behalf of older adults and people with disabilities. Courtney holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Ball State University.

She currently lives in Oak Lawn with her husband, James, and daughters Catherine, Nora and Mary.

The goal of workNet DuPage's ongoing Let's Talk Job Search series is to:

  • Create a supportive community in which to openly discuss the real experience of today's job market
  • Educate job seekers on important employment topics
  • Facilitate a sense of community and camaraderie for job seekers
  • Provide valuable resources, insight, and advice to help demystify and facilitate the job search process 

 

Let's Talk Job Search is FREE and open to the public. Advance registration is recommended but not required.
