Graphic Packaging has a Feeder-Packer position open. The person who occupies this position is responsible for assuming all production duties performed by feeder (feed flat cartons into gluing/paneling machines), catcher (remove product from press and pack into cases) and sorter (quality checks on cartons).  This person rotates between these manufacturing positions throughout working shift. Job Functions:

• Feeder:
• Feeder has manufacturing responsibility that glue machinery is continually being fed with proper carton. Feeder takes stacks of cartons from loaded pallet and places them into feeder of machine.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of area (remove stray cartons, sweep up, etc…). Performed during make ready production.
• Responsibility that appropriate carton is being fed. Done by checking for variances in box number and collator marks.
• Responsibility to feed only quality cartons. Feeder is to fan through stacks of production cartons being fed and check that they have proper color, register and are void of unnecessary markings.
• Feeder is to observe for machine manufacturing malfunctions and stop glue machine when problems arise. Feeder uses mirror to detect malfunctions. Feeder is also to be aware of signals from operator or catcher to stop and start machine.
  
• Catcher:
• Removes the finished folded cartons from the press and packs them into cases.
• Responsibility that appropriate carton is being packed: Done by checking item and job number on carton with job label being used in production.
• Responsibility that only quality products are packed. Catcher is to check that cartons have proper color, register and are void of unnecessary markings.
• Responsibility that proper count of production cartons are packed into case. Catcher is to hand count the first case of each different product being packed.
• Packed production cartons are to be pushed on rollers through taping machine to the padlocker.
• Responsible for maintenance of manufacturing area. Performed during make ready.

Maintenance Mechanic Job Functions:

Graphic Packaging is seeking a Finishing Operator Assistant to join their team. Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Sets up and operates straight-line gluers, inner cell, 4-corner and 6-corner gluers; and related peripheral/supporting equipment for manufacturing folded and glued carton.
• Observes automatic feeding, folding, and gluing of box blanks to detect machine malfunctions for proper manufacturing.
• Inspects completed production work to detect defects and verify conformance to work order specifications, and adjust machinery as necessary to correct variations.
• Keeps daily time and materials usage reports and records information in Peak and SAP.
• Performs Preventative Maintenance on manufacturing equipment.

Graphic Packaging is seeking a Shipper to join their team. The person who occupies this position is responsible for coordinating the shipping of produced finished materials.
The following is a list of specific duties which are considered the essential manufacturing functions of this job. The list is not exhaustive, as all positions at the company are dynamic.  The employee who occupies this position is expected to assume any/all duties assigned by production management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in this list.

• Shipping Lead is responsible for making appropriate manufacturing arrangements to ship finished materials.
  • Is to inform Material Handler to assign/move materials to shipping dock or assign Jeep Driver to do it.
  • Responsible for coordinating deliveries of production materials to be shipped.
• Responsible for manufacturing verification of materials being shipped (Shipping Lead has responsibility that materials being shipped are in fact the materials that were ordered by customer). Done by use of manufacturing bar scanner and transmitter, shipping checks that bar codes, shipping numbers on product are same as on release order.
• When necessary, Shipping Lead is to perform duties of Jeep Driver:
  • Is to retrieve loaded pallets of folded cartons from finishing area and transport them to shipping area.
  • Is to wrap loaded pallets with plastic wrap: Shipping Lead places load onto “shrink wrapping” machinery and attaches beginning of wrap to load. Production machinery automatically wraps load.
  • Is to load finished material onto outgoing trucks.
    • Note: Shipping Lead performs duties of Jeep Driver approximately 30 to 90% of working shift varying on needs of Shipping Department.
  • Responsible for maintaining the general cleanliness of manufacturing work area. Is to sweep up and remove unnecessary production debris.

Roll Grab Driver Job Functions:

• Responsible for production of banding scrap loads with metal strapping. Metal strapping is fastened together and tightened by use of banding tool.
• Weighing bales of scrap and filling out manufacturing inventory tag that is to be attached to bale. Information on tag includes grade, weight of bale. (Material Handler weighs bales by use of forklift).
• Material Handler is to stack all production bales according to grade. Material Handler does this by use of forklift.
• When waste semi-trucks arrive, Material handler is to load bales and scrap pallets into semi-truck.
• Material Handler is responsible for required manufacturing safety checks of fork lift.
• Unloading sheeted loads from sheeters to printed WIP production areas.
• Responsible for removing and strapping waste loads from delivery end of printing presses.
• Responsible for exchange of production coating totes.
• Responsible for manufacturing banding metal printing plates and placing them in proper storage locations.

The Testing Center Manager at Midwestern University is responsible for managing the Testing Center on the Downers Grove campus. This individual will be responsible for monitoring and overseeing all of the computerized exams and activities of the Testing Center to maintain a professional testing environment for all students on the Downers Grove campus. This individual will supervise the Exam Coordinators and Testing Center Monitors. This position reports to the Director of Information Technology Services – Infrastructure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management:

The Department of Physiology at Midwestern University is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and scientifically curious Research Assistant to provide research support for faculty members in the Department of Physiology. The Research Assistant is expected to assist in the: design and execution of animal, cellular, and human based research projects; data collection and analysis; and preparation of figures for manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain transgenic mouse colonies under faculty supervision: Mice breeding, handling, ear tagging, drug delivery via intraperitoneal, intramuscular, or subcutaneous injections, genotyping (obtain tail snips and perform PCR analyses), and accurate maintenance of colony records.
• Cell culture maintenance under faculty supervision: Generation, propagation and maintenance of sterile cell cultures and intestinal organoids, performing basic in vitro experiments, including but not limited to harvesting, splitting, and freezing cells, drug delivery to cultures, protein, and RNA extractions.
• Competently perform standard molecular biology techniques (western blot, gel electrophoresis, RT-PCR, qPCR, chromatin immunoprecipitations, immunohistochemistry, molecular cloning, etc.) under faculty supervision.
• Use specialized computer software to collect and analyze physiological (cardio-pulmonary) and cognitive data from humans under faculty supervision.
