The City of Naperville seeks a full-time Administrative Assistant II in the Naperville Police Department to perform a variety of customer service, administrative and financial activities to accomplish the Police Department’s accounts payable function. The position reports to the Budget and Administrative Services Coordinator and is a non-union, non-exempt position, working Monday – Friday 8am-5pm. The Administrative Assistant II coordinates a variety of tasks to accomplish the Police Department’s accounts payable functions including processing check requests, procurement cards, requisitions, purchase orders, etc. and acts as a liaison to between the Police Department and the Finance Department regarding procurement inquires. The position provides research for and maintenance of the PD’s procurement contracts; assists with maintaining accurate files for budget, research and audit purposes; records and collects deposits related to the department’s receivables; coordinates the annual report process; prepares other administrative tasks and provides back-up coverage for the Budget and Administrative Services Coordinator, the Chief of Police’s Administrative Assistant and the Administrative Assistant for the Training Division, as needed.
