Chemring Energetic Devices is looking for an Assembler to join their team. This position is to assemble small electro-explosive units with several detailed parts, following standardized methods. Follow detailed procedures for NASA, SPACE X and other aerospace industry leaders. Assemble hardware from scratch using parts list, custom tooling and pneumatic press crimping.
The pay range for this position is 19.50/hr. The benefit includes eligibility to participate in 1 of 3 different BCBS of IL medical plans, Dental (SunLife) Vision (EyeMed), Life and Disability Insurance, 401(k) with a generous 6% match on a 6% contribution, 11 Paid Holidays, 5 paid Sick Days (based on a full year of employment. Essential Job Function:
- Make intricate fittings, detailed epoxy mixing and application, use digital scales with an understanding that quality and accuracy are paramount.
- Ability to use basic drawings and procedures and hand tools to build and troubleshoot ordnance and pyrotechnic assemblies.
- Attention to detail when using digital scales, measuring devices, and microscopes for small intricate amounts and sizes.
