Simpson Strong-Tie has Associate Packer positions to fill. As an Associate Packer, you will be responsible for assembling and packing products and accessories in boxes. This is a full-time position from Tuesday through Friday from 6am to 4:30pm with overtime as needed. You can either click on the links below or click on Apply Now for full details and to apply. Responsibilities are the following:
Safely assemble and package finished product by properly labeling boxes; hang hangers, nozzles, and labels on cartridges; fill bulk liquids; and pack containers in cartons with quality in mind. (70%)
Complete all production paperwork, including Batch Record Retain forms, process orders, scrap sheets, and housekeeping checklists. (10%)
Utilize SAP to perform labor scans, print SAP labels, and scan confirmations. (10%)
Perform housekeeping. Verify shadow boards are appropriately stocked. (5%)
Participate in Huddle Board discussions, including providing safety suggestions and possible solutions. (5%)

To get this job, you typically need a Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with electrical, hydraulics, programming, and mechanical PLCs is required.
We pay $2.00 per hour shift differential for all time worked on 3rd shift. *Rate of pay depends on one’s experience, education, and skills.

All Technicians are sent to College of DuPage for classes. Technicians are scheduled for a series of six mechanical and six electrical classes. Classes are during work hours, so Technicians are paid for their time in class. We adjust their hours to spend half their shift on the floor and the balance in the class. Jel Sert pays for this training which includes classroom and lab work. All Technicians are involved in this training despite their experience level.
