College of DuPage’s Project Hire Ed is partnering with a local organization to hire a CNC Mill Operator Apprentice. The company is a fluid power leader that specializes in the design and development of custom solutions for the mobile and industrial markets. At the Glendale Heights Illinois facility, they are seeking qualified individuals on 2nd shift (3:00pm – 11:00pm) and 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:00AM) for a CNC Operator.
Work in a climate control facility, they machine high precision manifold blocks for use in their assembly lines. The CNC Operator will load and perform in process inspections in their production horizontal milling centers. (DMG MORI NH4000).

Duties:

• Interpret blueprints, routers, control plans in metric and with geometric tolerances.
• Manufacture close-tolerance components from drawings and shop orders.
• Proficient in the use of calipers, bore gauges, and other measurement devices.
• Load parts and maintain part accuracy while performing in-process quality checks to our SPC software.
• Perform daily checklist such as topping off coolant and checking fluid levels
• Ensure all part paperwork and documentation is completed properly.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations including 5S practices.
