Overton Chicago Gear seeks a Customer Service Representative to join their team. The primary functions of the Customer Service personnel will be under direction to track and report weekly, overall planning, order statuses of assigned activities for the company. Customer Service will be responsible for all communication between the customers, inside sales, and manufacturing operations. The candidate will work strategically with the Sales Manager and Operations ensure on time delivery and essential communications regarding all orders as needed. The individual must be proficient with Microsoft Office and related programs, possess strong analytical abilities, professional business ethic and comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. The candidate must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently when necessary. They offer Medical/Dental/Vision; 401K; Holidays; PTO; and Yearly Bonus Structure.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status requests and product information requests.
  • Attend weekly production meetings and update ERP as well as customers as required for any changes.
  • Process customer orders, changes, or requests according to established department policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain digital project folders in a highly organized manner.
  • Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.
  • Will work with accounting department on credit approval process as directed by management.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams to solve business issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend improved strategies to communicate company resources to customers, purchasing, inside sales, quality, and manufacturing.
