The Customer Service Representative, International is appointed to his/her position by the Manager Customer Service and reports to him/her.  The Customer Service Representative, International is responsible for order management for international markets, including order entry, coordinating shipments, processing export shipping documentation, and other general inquiries. Special emphasis is placed upon shipping orders on-time and complete, limiting air freight expenses and providing superlative customer service. Responsibilities:

  • Receives, processes, and addresses all international customer service issues pertaining to the flow of goods from Oak Brook for export.
  • Processes international purchase order requests and review inventory availability with Supply Chanin for custom make-to-order items.
  • Verify finished stock status based upon incoming international purchase order requests.
  • Prepares all necessary export documentation for international shipments and searches for continuous improvements to streamline documentation.
  • Provides follow-up communication on all international shipments.
  • Send Open Order reports to Distributors for open order confirmation.
  • Coordinates international transportation matters, assisting distributors in finding the best service, and freight cost, where appropriate.
  • Coordinates all incoming and outgoing shipments to and from the European Distribution Center for Blistex and Odor-Eaters brands.
  • Working with Finance, responsible for all accounting functions in Shipping Solutions for export, including sales invoices, promotional reimbursements, VAT payments, etc.
  • Ensure that Schedule B Commodity Numbers are updated in Shipping Solutions.
  • Complete Certificate of Origin as needed.
  • Create all debit and credit memos in SharePoint.
  • Coordinate essential EDI transactions with the EDI Team.
