The DuPage County Health Department is looking for a new team member to join their team as a Grants Administrator in the Finance, Accounting and Billing Department. In this role, you will be providing administrative and technical guidance and support to staff seeking outside funding for Health Department programs. You will also be responsible for management of the Health Department’s grants portfolio pre and post award and serving as the main point of contact for all grants across the agency.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at our Central Public Health Center in Wheaton.  Salary is $51,825.00 annually. Some responsibilities are the following:

  • Coordinates all aspects of grant administration to ensure timely and smooth implementation of grant requirements pre- and post-award.
  • Coordinates the application process; monitors progress across fiscal, compliance, programmatic deliverables, communications, and operational aspects of grants.
  • Serves as lead point of contact for all agency grants.
  • Establishes and assigns agency roles and responsibilities in funder or agency web portals.
  • Coordinates the development of cost-benefit analyses with the program manager, finance and accounting staff for new or recurring grants as needed.
  • Coordinates application processing, report preparation and filing, audits, program reviews and contract close-outs to assure all requirements are met.
  • Develops and implements internal audits to assure compliance and tests internal controls for both grant contracts and other agency operations.
  • Serves as agency expert on compliance and interpretation of all applicable regulations, policies and procedures related to grants.
  • Develops standing operating procedures and internal policies related to federal, state or other regulations.
  • Develops and provides training appropriate for staff assigned to manage grant funded programs.
  • Contributes to research, analysis and application efforts for new grant funding opportunities.
  • Develops and maintains internal central repository for all grant documents.
  • Monitors grant deliverables and facilitates review meetings as needed.
  • Monitors sub-grantee contracts for compliance; develops and presents reports.
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with funders, partner organizations, auditors, and staff; maintains working knowledge of organizational priorities.
  • Convenes and facilitates meetings with key stakeholders.
