Village of Bensenville is looking for an Investigation Division Aide to join their team. The Part-Time Investigation Division Aide is an entry-level position that conducts office duties and some field work to support investigations related to criminal cases and civil justice in the Investigations Division. General supports services include processing legal documents, reports, complaints, subpoenas and more. As a part-time employee, your weekly hours worked will vary. Weekly hours will average no more than 20 hours per week, not to exceed 1,000 hours per year. Starting rate for this role is $22.00 an hour.
- Answer phone, and forward calls.
- Maintain mug shot files including, downloading photos from Livescan, importing into the I-drive, and entering into the records management system.
- Maintain fingerprint files.
- Maintain field contact reports.
- Maintain juvenile files.
- Provide records checks for Department of Probation & Court Services on juveniles.
- Maintain records of arrest on gang member files and serve as a liaison with the State’s Attorney regarding street gang fines.
- Update and maintain registered sex offender list.
- Gather informational reports of Chicago PD arrests of Bensenville residents.
- Assist with Asset Seizure paperwork.
- Separate and maintain LEADS messages as per various categories.
- Scan through LEADS for pertinent warrants and incidents and provide the information to the investigation division.
- Obtain through LEADS all title searches, driver’s license, and driver’s license abstracts for Administrative Tow Hearing Files.
- Compose letters to other Police Departments reference to fraud that in which the complainant resides in Bensenville and the offense occurred in their jurisdiction.
- Complete Jail Population Report and submit it to IDOC.
- Responsible for prioritizing safety in the workplace by strictly adhering to and familiarizing yourself with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in and complete all mandatory training assigned.
