The DuPage County Health Department is looking for a Lead Doula/Family Case Manager, who will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring family support services for Healthy Families clients which require more complex levels of assistance and support. As a Lead Doula/Family Case Manager, preferably bilingual in Spanish, you will be providing ongoing reflective and administrative supervision to doula program staff and to case managers serving at-risk families with young children to ensure that services are client-centered, and grant deliverables are met. This is a full-time, primarily office based, position with benefits. Hours are generally Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. They are offering a $1,000.00 sign on bonus, $1,000.00 six-month retention bonus and a 1 year $1,000.00 retention bonus. Salary range for this position is $51,825.00 – $86,375.00. - Provides reflective and administrative supervision to Doulas and Case Manager(s) including providing support on an on-call basis.
- Monitors client cases for compliance with program requirements; evaluates outcomes to determine program effectiveness
- Conducts file and program audits.
- Recommends and implements service delivery changes to increase program accessibility.
- Ensures the integration of multiple services in order to achieve a comprehensive approach to client care.
- Keeps up to date on grant, program and reporting requirements.
- Identifies and resolves employee relations and performance issues.
- Provides appropriate leadership and direction and promotes positive morale, creativity and teamwork among staff.
- Evaluates employee productivity and sets clear goals and expectations.
- Acts as a liaison to community providers to provide support, expertise and linkage to early child home visiting resources.
- Participates in emergency response activities as assigned.
- Maintains required training, licensure and/or certification; maintains confidentiality of privileged information and adheres to patient privacy laws.
- Demonstrates sensitivity and understanding of diversity and various cultures.
- Available to respond to clients and/or customers, either in person or over the phone, during assigned business hours as well as providing support on an on-call basis.
- Records and maintains records of supervisory and training activities as well as staff competencies and needs, including supervision notes and orientation and training records.
- Provides observations/assessments of Case Manager and Doula visits with families and talks to families in response to family questions to ensure services are responsive to family needs.
- Â As a trained doula, the Lead Doula/Family Case Manager is on-call 24/7 to support doulas when attending participant births and also provides back-up coverage for births.
- Provides support and consultation to doulas and case managers when needed.
- Coordinates and supports Prenatal groups, supporting doulas and providing back-up coverage in leading groups on topics including nutrition, the reproductive system, the process of normal labor, routine hospital practices, routine newborn care, normal newborn behaviors, feeding methods (breastfeeding and formula preparation), and the normal physiological changes of the immediate postnatal period.
