Freudenberg Household Products is hiring for a Material Planner. The Material Planner will be responsible for and accountable for effective management of materials, requisitions, placement of purchase orders for assigned commodities, deliveries, stocking levels, and for conduct of supplier relations resulting in successful support of organization, division, and corporate objectives.

  • Replenishment of Production components: Effectively manage materials, requisitions, and placement of purchase orders and monitoring of receiving activities for assigned commodities; Maintain effective inventory levels with focus on reduction and avoidance of slow moving/obsolete stocks while optimizing balance of inventory and safety stock; Routinely review Master Data elements (lead times, coverage profiles, order min, etc.) and make suggestions for adjustments based on current market conditions.
  • SCM Activities: Routinely track and trace containers of materials imported from overseas suppliers; Maintain up to date information at a purchase order level for all open purchase orders; Provide open orders and forecast reporting to suppliers associated with assigned commodities; Engage in current logistics climate to understand and report on risks associated with market changes and risk mitigation; Make recommendations for risk mitigation related to SCM constraints.
  • Interface with Procurement group: Work with Procurement team for launching of new materials to understand price breaks, lead times and first order quantities; Engage in the NCR process to facilitate NCR disposition and replacement inventories; Support supplier relationship management, escalating supplier relations challenges.
  • Project Management and Support: Lead LEAN projects specific to Operations; Capable of being part of a project team responsible for generating deliverables and offering a well thought analysis and proposals contributing to the project’s success.
  • Continuous improvement: Manage KPIs (inventory, slow moving, WC); manage vendor relationships; serve as backup to department.
