Chemring Energetic Devices is seeking a Planning Manager to join their team. The Planning Manager will drive excellence across production planning, scheduling, and inventory management to ensure seamless delivery for our clients. This role is integral to optimizing departmental metrics, managing resources, and fostering continuous improvement in our operational processes. This position offers an opportunity to lead and develop the Planning Department in an innovative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Manage:  Provide consistent leadership for the Planning Department, acting as a focal point and ensuring balanced workload distribution across the team.
• Optimize MRP System:  Oversee the D365 MRP system to synchronize hardware needs with production requirements and supplier schedules.
• Capacity and Forecast Planning:  Lead the team in utilizing capacity planning tools to identify and resolve bottlenecks, ensuring on-time delivery and supporting year-over-year revenue growth.
• Drive Metrics and Improvements:  Implement and monitor departmental metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives and identifying potential risks and opportunities within the revenue forecast.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally:  Facilitate clear communication with Production, Contracts, Engineering, and Quality teams to maintain workflow and meet delivery objectives.
• Project Management:  Develop, maintain, and review project plans, ensuring alignment with departmental and corporate goals.
