The Bloomingdale Park District seeks a Publications Coordinator to join their team. Under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Publications Coordinator is responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to design of marketing collateral with an emphasis in print production such as flyers, posters, logos, brochures, T-shirts, etc.; writing copy for a variety of promotions; capturing quality photography/video; and staffing marketing outreach opportunities at Park District events and in the community. The position is responsible for managing the layout and production of the Park District program guide three times a year.
The part-time position of Publications Coordinator is paid every two weeks at an agreed hourly wage. Occasional weekend work will apply as needed. The position is classified as a non-exempt hourly employee with potential IMRF-eligible status and will work 17-25 hours per week (additional hours may be required during brochure production cycle). The salary range for this position is $21-$24/per hour, depending on experience. See the list of benefits HERE.
Job Functions:
- Design marketing materials.
- Coordinate production of the 80-page seasonal program brochure (three per year).
- Design flyers and other marketing collaterals.
- Decorate facility display cases.
- Maintain files and records.
- Follow Bloomingdale Park District safety procedures.
- Take photographs at special events, parks, and facilities throughout the park system and as needed.
- Assist in other areas as assigned by the Director of Marketing & Communications.
- Participate in marketing outreach opportunities.
- Procure giveaways.
