The Quality Assurance Manager’s primary responsibility is to provide oversight to quality and food safety initiatives to Jel Sert manufacturing organization as well as act as the QA liaison between Jel Sert and contracting clients.  The Quality Assurance Manager is also responsible for interacting with all customers and provides Quality Assurance information to customers when requested.

The position also supervises a team that oversees document creation, control and management as well as record review and storage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate QA-related activities for contracted products.  This includes:
    • Primary Jel Sert Quality contact for Contracting Clients
    • Primary contact for product trials for Contracting Clients
    • Complaint handling for contracting clients
    • Point of contact for any issues during the manufacturing of contract products
    • Expeditious resolution of any issues related to contracting clients
  • Collaboration with manufacturing and other functions to resolve CAPAS and manages the CAPA.
  • Communicate with internal/external customers to resolve issues and provide requested information and documentation.  This includes managing interaction with customers via portals or other customer-specific communication methods.  i.e., ICIX, Repositrak, etc.
  • Ensure Jel Sert and contracting client records and retain samples, are reviewed for compliance with recordkeeping requirements and properly stored.
  • Participates in external/internal audits as required.
