The Restaurant Applications Manager owns a portfolio of diverse technologies of packaged business applications and SaaS platforms supporting our restaurants. This individual will be responsible for leading the team and establishing partnerships with their business partners.
The Restaurant Applications Manager will work with other members of the IT organization, Restaurant Operations and Restaurant Support Center (RSC) functions to understand the business need and evaluate how those needs and capabilities fit within the existing application infrastructure or identify gaps where new technology is needed.
They will lead the selection, administration, configuration, implementation, and support of all the technology/systems in our portfolio of 50+ restaurants across the country.  This will include operating and updating existing applications, as well as the identification and implementation of new applications.
  • Define technology and capability roadmap for restaurant applications function.
  • Overall ownership of the point-of-sale technology and configuration in the restaurants which is currently Micros RES with plans on upgrading to Simphony.
  • Work with business partners and vendors to support additional applications in the areas of time & attendance, ordering & inventory management, reservations and labor scheduling.
  • Supervise and coach team members assigned to the Restaurant Applications team.
  • Coordinate projects and tasks assigned to the Restaurant Applications team; develop work plans and drive deliverables from concept to testing to release.
  • Work with the business to maximize capabilities of existing applications. Propose new innovations and features.
  • Evaluate alternative applications and solutions to meet business capabilities and requirements.
  • Identify gaps in existing technology based on business capability roadmaps and determine the best way to fill the gap using existing or new applications.
  • Be knowledgeable of the functionality and operational aspects of the applications and integrations in area of responsibility.
  • Provide 2nd tier support of Restaurant Applications, drive escalations to the internal development team or vendors.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including support tickets, evaluating new releases, and upcoming roadmaps.
  • Work with vendor resources to create statement of works to support requirements as needed.
  • Produce cost and resource estimates based on requirements and statements of work.
  • Ensure documentation is maintained for areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure that solutions meet all compliance, legal, internal controls, and accounting standards.
