The Forest Preserve of DuPage County is seeking Landscapers who will work with Planning and Development. The Seasonal Landscape positions support grounds maintenance activities that keep preserves and facilities safe, clean, and welcoming. As a part of the Planning and Development team, this position has a unique task in maintaining the landfill locations of the Forest Preserve. This role includes operating equipment, maintaining outdoor spaces, and assisting with preservation-focused landscaping practices. Schedule will be Monday through Friday. 7:00 am. – 3:30 pm. This position starts around May and ends in September of 2026. The pay is $16 per hour.
What you will do:

• Safely operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment including mowers, trimmers, and other power and hand tools.
• Perform routine grounds care such as mowing, trimming, weeding, litter removal, and edging.
• Assist with landscape enhancement tasks including soil and compost installation.
• Maintain facility and site cleanliness, including garbage collection and gutter clearing.
• Support daily opening and closing procedures at assigned sites.
• Follow all safety guidelines and help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
• Contribute to a collaborative, customer-focused workplace.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support grounds operations.
