Seasonal Manufacturing Assistant – 1st shift

Clarke (Roselle) is seeking to hire a Seasonal Production and manufacturing Assistant who will be responsible for assisting Clarke’s team of Formulators with the production and manufacturing of Company product. This may include but is not limited to, filling, labeling (jugs/drums/bag/sacks) and preparing products for shipment and distribution, moving stock, and cleaning the warehouse as needed as well as other general labor activities. This position is perfect for someone passionate about public health, and sustainability and enjoys working in a production/manufacturing setting. This position earns a wage of $16/hr. and generally works 7:30 AM – 4 PM, Monday-Friday (end times may vary based on business needs). The Seasonal Production/Manufacturing Assistant works on average a 40+ hour work week which could extend through the Winter months.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Possess a high school degree or equivalent with high school-level math skills.
Communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal forms.
Have a valid Driver’s License with an excellent driving record.
Ability to bend and lift approximately 50-100 pounds regularly.
Experience with operating a forklift is a plus.
Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
Must be able to wear a respirator, when required, while performing necessary duties.
Must be available to work through the end of our season (could extend through the Winter months).
Must be available to work Monday- Friday, 7:30 am until 4:00 pm (Overtime as necessary).
Candidate must be comfortable performing assigned duties in a manufacturing environment.

To get this job, you typically need a Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with electrical, hydraulics, programming, and mechanical PLCs is required.
We pay $2.00 per hour shift differential for all time worked on 3rd shift. *Rate of pay depends on one’s experience, education, and skills.

All Technicians are sent to College of DuPage for classes. Technicians are scheduled for a series of six mechanical and six electrical classes. Classes are during work hours, so Technicians are paid for their time in class. We adjust their hours to spend half their shift on the floor and the balance in the class. Jel Sert pays for this training which includes classroom and lab work. All Technicians are involved in this training despite their experience level.
