The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is preparing for Summer Camp and is looking for Summer Camp Education help at the Fullersburg Woods. This position assists in the coordination and execution of educational programming at the district’s summer camps. Position starts May 26th with the schedule of Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Pay: $17-19/hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of educational programs, including co-leading week-long outdoor summer camps using provided curriculum and materials.
• Perform set-up and tear-down for educational programming, including moving tables and chairs, placing signage, decorating, and preparing necessary equipment such as whiteboards or projectors.
• Assist in facilitating pick-up and drop-off of camp participants.
• Keep neat and accurate records including incident and injury reports, equipment damage reports, documentation of behavioral issues, time sheets, and camper registration.
• Perform maintenance on educational materials and supplies as needed.
• Respond promptly to any emergency situations, providing first aid as needed.
• Foster a working environment that promotes safe work habits; Become familiar with and observe all applicable safety rules, policies, and work procedures; Follow all safety rules that pertain to the duties performed and support all aspects of the District’s safety and risk management program; Keep work area clean, orderly, and free of hazards; Immediately report all unsafe conditions and incidents.
