The City of Naperville’s IT Department is looking for an experienced Solutions Project Manager to plan, manage and implement technology solutions within Public Safety.  The IT Department is undergoing a transformation to a cloud-centric and virtualized environment and recently completed a migration to Exchange Online, Office365, SharePoint Online, Skype for Business, Windows10 deployment, the migration of key Public Safety software solutions to virtualized and cloud environments, and the modernization of the Fire Station Alerting System. As a member of the prestigious What Works Cities initiative, the City of Naperville provides improved service for their residents through data and evidence.
As part of the Public Safety IT team, the Solutions Project Manager will be responsible for the planning and implementation of assigned Public Safety technology projects and/or programs.  These projects normally involve one or more vendors and multiple stakeholders within the City, requiring close collaboration with department sponsors, IT groups and external vendors to enable project success.
The Solutions Project Manager will create project plans and manage Public Safety technology project implementations. This position will be responsible for the success of assigned projects, understand and communicate project goals and user business requirements to project teams including vendors, providing frequent reports on project progress, and mitigating issues and risks to ensure that the milestones are completed per requirements, on schedule and within budget
