The Illinois Tollway is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist – IT to join their team. The Talent Acquisition Specialist designs and implements sourcing strategies that help attract and recruit high performing and diverse talent with a major focus in recruitment for the agency’s Information Technology Department. Salary is $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 annually. The Talent Acquisition Specialist – IT responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the full life recruitment process from job posting to offer.
  • Create and implement recruitment initiatives that position the organization’s Information Technology department as an employer of choice.
  • Collaborate with department stakeholders to create staffing plans, develop strategies and implement action plans for searches for highly competitive market roles.
  • Coach hiring managers or teams on interviewing and candidate assessment techniques.
  • Assist in creation and post technical job descriptions on specialist IT job boards, social media and any other relevant channels.
  • Keep up-to-date with new technological trends to form strategic conversations with client department on future hiring needs.
  • Identify and share recruitment best practices across business units of focus.
  • Interview prospective candidates and evaluate for success factors such as job experience, education and training, knowledge, skills and abilities, organizational culture considerations, and other pertinent data.
  • Capture candidate feedback from interview team and lead final assessment and selection process, prepare a rating on applicants, negotiate offers, and consult on recommended starting salaries and other offer package details.
  • Will take on assignments with other departments regarding sourcing and recruitment as required with organizational demands.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
