Biofortis Clinickal Research is looking for a research assistant/Phlebotomist to join their clinical research team. You will assist with the conduct of study trials by performing recruitment screening phone calls, preparing all necessary materials for day-to-day functions, performing vitals/ECGs/DEXA scans/heights/weights, entering subject data, and supporting our laboratory. Responsibilities:
Work with study coordinators and physicians to ensure participant safety and enrollment in clinical trials.
Provide administrative and clinical support, including front desk check in and next day chart preparation.
Perform vital signs, height and weight measurements, ECGs and assisting with participant visits, as needed.
Perform recruitment calls and interact with interested participants to determine study eligibility.
Attend and interact in study kickoff meetings.
Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of assigned protocols.
Provide necessary clinic and lab support for day-to-day functions.
Complete study related documents including data entry.
Contribute to our professional and company image.
Adhere to Good Clinical Practices.
Able to support the laboratory, specifically:
Collect routine blood and urine specimens.
Collect and process stool, urine, saliva, skin swabs, and other samples as needed.
Collect timed specimens, utilizing intravenous catheters at times.
Process and ship patient samples to various reference laboratories.
Order and process incoming supplies.
Adhere to CDC recommendations and OSHA requirements.

We pay $2.00 per hour shift differential for all time worked on 3rd shift. *Rate of pay depends on one’s experience, education, and skills.

All Technicians are sent to College of DuPage for classes. Technicians are scheduled for a series of six mechanical and six electrical classes. Classes are during work hours, so Technicians are paid for their time in class. We adjust their hours to spend half their shift on the floor and the balance in the class. Jel Sert pays for this training which includes classroom and lab work. All Technicians are involved in this training despite their experience level.
