Inventus Power has a Production Supervisor position open for the 2nd shift. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing a diverse and talented manufacturing team. Primary goals include properly organizing staff members and achieving a reasonable workflow throughout the day. This position will also include directing, disciplining, training, and assisting lower-level manufacturing employees in a factory setting. The Production Supervisor will also be involved in hiring, discipline, terminations, and other supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities are listed below. Meets customer delivery deadlines and production expectations with little or no supervision and directs and assigns work to the hourly production personnel to coordinate production activities.
Know, understand, communicate, and facilitate a safe work culture, ensuring compliance with all company safety/environmental and housekeeping policies.
Plan production operations and establish priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
Communicate between Production Manager, Customer Service personnel, and other supervisors regarding scheduling problems, and resolve issues that may affect the planned priorities.
Inspects work areas to ensure operational performance and utilization.
Monitors employee performance to assure that quality and production standards are met and assists in completing performance reviews.
Assures that employees are trained to adequately perform assigned tasks.
Builds and maintains morale in the hourly Production workforce and maintains a good attitude with fellow workers and management to enhance morale.
Successful implementation of improvements and new processes.

To get this job, you typically need a Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with electrical, hydraulics, programming, and mechanical PLCs is required.
We pay $2.00 per hour shift differential for all time worked on 3rd shift. *Rate of pay depends on one’s experience, education, and skills.

All Technicians are sent to College of DuPage for classes. Technicians are scheduled for a series of six mechanical and six electrical classes. Classes are during work hours, so Technicians are paid for their time in class. We adjust their hours to spend half their shift on the floor and the balance in the class. Jel Sert pays for this training which includes classroom and lab work. All Technicians are involved in this training despite their experience level.
