FROM LAYOFF TO LAUNCH is a FREE Webinar that connects laid-off DuPage County residents to proven, no-cost, federally-funded career resources and support. It includes authoritative information about unemployment insurance and healthcare, as well as job search support.

Learn the following: 

  • How to apply for up-to-$10,000 to attend job training, certificate, or professional development programs while collecting unemployment (money that does not need to be paid back)
  • Free professional career coaching services, including workshops on job search strategies, resume reviews, and mock interviews 
  • How to file for unemployment insurance benefits and what to expect after filing 
  • Health insurance coverage and 401(k) options after a layoff

FROM LAYOFF TO LAUNCH offers hands-on solutions for workers impacted by a workforce reduction or in a job transition. The session includes a Q/A with representatives from the DuPage County Workforce Development Division, IL Dept. of Employment Security, and the U.S. Department of Labor.
