The Big Interview. In this session of Interview Practice Rebecca Harrington from the College of DuPage will discuss COD's cool new online interview tool!
Join the College of DuPage (COD) Career Services Center for a presentation on Big Interview, an online AI tool to help students, alumni and community members improve their interviewing skills. Through the virtual platform, users have the opportunity to record practice responses to interview questions (spanning all fields and industries) that can be reviewed by AI as well as the user. The system also contains training videos, interview tips, and a question library for research. The presenter will also talk about COD’s Career Services Center and the services they offer to students, alumni, and community members.
Bio: Rebecca Harrington works as the Program Manager for the College of DuPage Career Services Center and has her master’s degrees in education and English from DePaul University. She is a career development professional with a background in teaching, writing, podcasting and Human Resources who is dedicated to helping others reach their career goals.

Interview Practice is an ongoing, monthly workshop organized by workNet DuPage.

By the end of our workshop, participants should feel better equipped for their upcoming interviews and more confident about their chances of success.
This workshop is free and open to the public. No advance registration required. Come on in to our center at 2525 Cabot Drive, Suite 302, in Lisle and check in at the front desk.

To get that job, you typically need a high school diploma and vocational or technical training in machining. We offer additional on-the-job training once a new machinist with the foundational skills and experience joins the team so they can continue to master their craft.

To get this job, you typically need a Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with electrical, hydraulics, programming, and mechanical PLCs is required.
We pay $2.00 per hour shift differential for all time worked on 3rd shift. *Rate of pay depends on one’s experience, education, and skills.
Our best technicians have: Strong mechanical and electrical skills Additionally, someone that takes pride in their work, is honest, creative in their ideas, and works as a professional in a team environment.
All Technicians are sent to College of DuPage for classes. Technicians are scheduled for a series of six mechanical and six electrical classes. Classes are during work hours, so Technicians are paid for their time in class. We adjust their hours to spend half their shift on the floor and the balance in the class. Jel Sert pays for this training which includes classroom and lab work. All Technicians are involved in this training despite their experience level.
