The Lombard Park District is hiring for a Before and After School Counselor. The Club Rec Counselor is responsible for assisting with the supervision of children in their before and after school program at various local schools. Counselors help run games and activities, assist with homework, and provide a safe and fun environment for students. Previous experience and a desire to interact with school-age children is preferred with the capacity to provide quality customer service. Ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults and work collaboratively with co-workers and supervisors is essential. Additional duties may include room set up and cleaning, attending staff meetings and training, and other duties as assigned.
Pay and Hours:
Pay range is $15.00 – $17.00 an hour
Monday-Friday (availability for both shifts is not required, but is preferred)
6:45 am-8:45 am AND 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
While it is preferred to hire candidates who are available for the entire school year, they understand high school students may have other commitments throughout the school year (such as sports) that may require an absence for a limited time period.
Additional hours for School Days off, early dismissal and half days, and school break camps will be required. Those dates and times will be given upon being hired.
