Glen Ellyn Children’s Resource Center seeks a Bilingual Family Liaison to join their team. As a Bilingual Family Coordinator, you will help remove barriers to education and enrichment by connecting families with the programs and resources they need to thrive. Your work will directly strengthen children, empower families, and build a more connected community.
Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Bilingual Family Liaison serves as a trusted resource for families by helping them navigate GECRC programs and access community benefits. This position plays a vital role in reducing barriers to participation by assisting families with program registration, completing applications for public benefit programs, and connecting them to supportive services. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, highly organized, culturally responsive, and passionate about serving children and families. This is part-time at $20.00 – $22.00 an hour. Below lists some responsibilities of the position.

  • Assist families with registration and enrollment for GECRC programs, including after-school, summer, and special programming.
  • Guide families through the application process for financial assistance.
  • Maintain accurate enrollment records and ensure required documentation is collected.
  • Communicate with families regarding registration deadlines, program updates, and required paperwork.
  • Provide interpretation and translation services for families as part of GECRC programming.
  • Assist families in applying for Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP).
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and families.
  • Connect families with community resources that support housing, food security, healthcare, mental health services, and other basic needs.
  • Participate in family events, orientations, and outreach opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison between families, GECRC staff, schools, and community partners.
  • Help families gather and organize required documentation.
  • Monitor application status and provide follow-up support as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of eligibility requirements and program updates.
