The DuPage County Health Department seeks a Customer Service Representative to join their team. In this role, you will be providing front desk duties to Health Department clients. You will be preparing and gathering relevant paperwork and data to identify the requested needs of the clients in-person and over the phone, providing rapid and accurate screening and referrals.
Starting pay for this position is $15.77 per hour (May increase depending on experience). You will be eligible for their full comprehensive benefit package which includes Affordable Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 12 Paid Holidays per year, 12 Paid Vacation days, 12 weeks of paid parental leave, 5 paid personal days along with paid sick time. This is also a pension eligible, IMRF Retirement Account position. Responsibilities:

• Updates client records; enters client’s data into computer systems including revising or updating addresses and telephone numbers.
• Schedules appointments: ensures that release forms or consent forms have been signed; prepares various forms and worksheets.
• Sets up clinic rooms with appropriate supplies; processes daily reports; monitors on hand supplies and coordinates replenishment as needed.
• Assists clients with tests such as hemoglobin, blood pressure, and physical measurements.
• Obtains health histories from patients by conducting patient interviews; follows-up on client status; performs duties necessary to close clinics.
• Maintains required training, licensure, and/or certification.
• Adheres to department guidelines for attendance and punctuality.
• Participates in emergency response activities as assigned.
• Maintains confidentiality of privileged information and adheres to patient privacy laws.
• Demonstrates sensitivity and understanding of other ethnic groups and cultures.
• May assist with determining client eligibility for programs.
• Assist with interpretation.
