Matrix Plastic Products is seeking a Skilled Maintenance Technician who is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment and support systems to ensure safe and efficient operations in an injection molding environment. This hands-on position requires a broad range of maintenance skills encompassing electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general facility maintenance functions. The Skilled Maintenance Technician must be highly self-sufficient, capable of working independently with limited supervision, and able to quickly learn and troubleshoot new equipment and systems. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with external vendors and contractors, managing maintenance inventories, and responding to urgent maintenance needs throughout the facility. Pay range for this position is $28.00 – $34.00 an hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and other related issues.
- Coordinate and communicate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to schedule specialized repairs & maintenance activities.
- Manage inventory levels of maintenance supplies, spare parts, consumable items, and shop materials to ensure adequate stock and minimize downtime.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance requests to minimize production interruptions.
- Install, modify, and repair equipment, machinery, and facility systems as required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inventory documentation, and work order completion records.
- Assist with equipment installations, relocations, and facility improvement projects.
- Support safety initiatives by ensuring equipment and facility systems operate in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Work independently to prioritize maintenance activities, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions with minimal supervision.
