Coordinate Machine Company is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Machine Shop Set-Up CNC Machinist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) milling machines used in the manufacturing process. The successful candidate must be able to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Pay range is $27.00 – $29.00 an hour. You will get 5 paid holidays and 70% health insurance paid.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling (mainly vertical) machines to produce precision parts according to blueprints, engineering plans, and production schedules.
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and other machine setup procedures to ensure accurate and efficient machining.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy of the finished product.
- Use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions of machined parts.
- Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and report any defects or issues to the supervisor/inspector.
- Debur sharp edges.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Maintain accurate records of machine setup, performance, and production activities.
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
- 3+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required
- Strong technical knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and setup procedures
- Familiarity with machine shop tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work are
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
