Solberg Manufacturing is looking to hire a Shipping Clerk for its facility operations in Itasca. Applicants can email their resumes directly to norma.plascencia@solbergmfg.com.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure shipments have correct label information, correct quantities, adequate packaging and skidding, special instructions have been met, and any other special instructions and part numbers by matching with packing slips and pro forma invoices.
  • Make sure that the product ships correctly to the customer, and thus be responsible for the weighing, banding, shipment labeling, truck line communication, and all paperwork associated with the shipment of product and the loading of the product on to trucks.
  • Responsible for the coordination of the final product being transferred between assembly areas (including Team Leads & Inside Sales) to the Outgoing shipping area.
  • Communicates & coordinates with assembly personnel to gather information about skid size, shipment completion times, and any other information required for the final shipment.
  • Maintain shipping area cleanliness, including the dock area, and make sure free area is from clutter at all times. This includes regular floor cleaning and snow removal during winter.
  • Responsible for keeping inventory on all products needed to run the shipping department.
  • Help load loose boxes and skids for export shipment.
  • Enter orders in the ERP system accurately and in a timely manner.

General Skills:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, capable of working a flexible schedule, experience with electric standup and reach truck, strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organization and administrative skills, integrity and leadership skills, exemplary customer service, customer care skills, good analytical and problem-solving skills, strong computer skills, hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate machinery and plant equipment. Salary is $ 18.00 per hour. Work week is Monday thru Friday only. Weekends Off.
