Direct dispatching and routing of transportation vehicles
Interview, select, and train warehouse and supervisory personnel
Plan, organize, and manage staff to ensure work is accomplished
Prepare or direct preparation of reports and maintenance and safety manuals
Supervise the work of logistics specialists, planners, or schedulers

Training & Educational Opportunities

Many employers prefer professionals with training and certification in areas such as Supply Chain Management, Project Management, or Business Analysis. Some employers may seek candidates who have an APICS certification from the Association of Supply Chain Management (ASCM).
