The Program Evaluation Manager will manage the development and implementation of a comprehensive project evaluation and performance measurement plan for assigned American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) projects to examine the effectiveness and reach of the individual projects as well as their collective impact.
A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $99,227.67 – $104,740.48. Compensation decisions take into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, geographic location, business needs, and organizational policies. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide scientific data and analytic support for assigned grant projects to advance immunizations and care that promote healthy and resilient children, youth, and families, including dissemination and implementation of science to ensure broad adaptation and uptake of related initiatives.
  • Develop an evaluation strategy for assigned projects in alignment with funder objectives, including identification of performance indicators, development of quality assurance strategies, training and ongoing communication with program staff.
  • Design and implement process and outcome evaluation protocols for assigned grants programs, using both quantitative and qualitative methods as appropriate. Provide data analysis and reporting, in conjunction with external experts and consultants as needed.
  • Collaborate with project staff in designing and distributing evaluation tools to monitor progress toward process and outcome measures.
  • Collaborate with grant sub-recipients to support the collection of evaluation data.
  • Analyze opportunities for rapid-cycle quality improvement (QI) based on evaluation data and communicate findings with internal and external project partners.
  • Ensure compliance with Institutional Review Board and Maintenance of Certification requirements, where appropriate.
  • Assist with the development of grant proposals and progress reports.
  • In collaboration with relevant AAP staff, oversee the work of project consultants or subcontractors, including preparation of requests for proposals, licensing agreements/contracts, review of products/materials, submission of progress reports and invoices, and management of expenditures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in research evaluation and QI.
  • Coordinate efforts with internal and external partners, participating in conference calls and meetings as appropriate.
