This series took place on September 15, 22, & 29, 2023 at the workNet DuPage Career Center in Lisle
SERIES RECAP
In September 2023, as children embarked on the new school year, workNet DuPage, Choose DuPage, and College of DuPage hosted “Back to School, Back to Work,” a free job search workshop series for parents seeking to return to the workforce.
Nearly 50 parents, men and women, from across DuPage County attended the three-part series which featured multiple employer panels, community leaders, workNet DuPage client success stories, and more.
Workshops included Current Trends in Resume Writing on September 15, Job Searching in a Digital World on September 22, and Interviewing and Negotiating on September 29.
Attendees gained insights into how to market their skills after taking significant time off to care for their children. Additionally, they discovered a supportive community of parents who, like them, are making the transition back to work.
