FROM LAYOFF TO LAUNCH is a FREE Webinar that connects DuPage County residents laid-off or furloughed to proven, no cost, federally-funded career resources and support. It includes authoritative information about unemployment insurance and healthcare as well as job search support.
Learn the following:
- How to apply for up-to-$10,000 to attend job training, certificate, or professional development programs while collecting unemployment (money that does not need to be paid back)
- Free professional career coaching services including workshops on job search strategies, resume reviews and mock interviews
- How to file for unemployment insurance benefits and what to expect after filing
- Health insurance coverage and 401(k) options after a layoff
FROM LAYOFF TO LAUNCH offers hands-on solutions for workers impacted by a workforce reduction or in a job transition. The session includes a Q/A with representatives from the DuPage County Workforce Development Division, IL Dept. of Employment Security and the U.S. Department of Labor.
