Project Hire-Ed facilitates apprenticeship programs in a variety of industries. Industries include:
– Business
– Early Childhood Education and Care
– Electro Mechanical

Project Hire-Ed maintains an interest list for individuals who want to be notified when new apprenticeship opportunities become available. You can indicate the industries and occupations you’re interested in, and they will reach out when an employer partner is recruiting for an apprenticeship in your selected areas. Apprentice programs provide an opportunity for students to train for a career and attend College of DuPage. Apprentices can also:
- Earn a wage, receive health care benefits, paid time off and other employment benefits.
- Receive wage increases as skills increase or set milestones are reached.
- Begin a career and earn college credits.
- Graduate with no college debt since employers pay for the full cost of the student’s program courses, labs and fees.
- Most apprentices will earn both a Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship certificate as well as a College of DuPage Academic certificate.
