The Villa Park Public Library is hiring for a Business Manager. The Business Manager handles financial accounting, accounts payable, payroll, human resources, and other business office responsibilities. In this role, you must be highly accurate, well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to safeguard confidential information. Salary range is $25.30 to $32.00 per hour; offers made within this range are based on competencies, experience, and internal pay equity. - Responsibilities include:
- Bank reconciliations, journal entries, invoice entry, check generation, financial reports
- Payroll processing and benefits administration
- Processing and tracking donations
- Creating and maintaining personnel records
- On-boarding and off-boarding employees
- Acts as IMRF liaison with the Village, preparing forms and uploading files
- Prepares and organizes documents for the annual audit
- Prepares and submits annual Treasurer’s Report
- Prepares Library Board meeting agendas and Board packets
- Works closely with the administrative team
- Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution required
- Three or more years of applicable experience required
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles required
- Proficiency in financial software required; prior experience with Sage accounting software preferred
- Prior experience with Paylocity payroll software preferred
- Knowledge of principles of human resources preferred
