Chemring is seeking a CNC Set-Up Operator to join their team. This is for the 2nd shift, hours are 4pm-12:30 am with OT. There is a $3.00 shift differential. Below lists the responsibilities. - Interpret Part Drawings.
- Basic understanding of Geometric Tolerancing
- Using part drawing, must be able to produce from raw stock to finished product.
- Set-up of CNC Lathes / Vertical Machining Centers
- Load Tools
- Load Programs
- Adjust Offsets
- Run 1st piece acceptance
- Edit Programs
- Programming
- Knowledge of Fanuc Controls a plus
- Basic G / M-Code knowledge
- Basic computer skills
- Inspection and Gauging
- Checking part to print dimensions using micrometers, dial calipers, etc.
- Tool crib
- Proper Tooling Selection
- Pre-set Tools to proper length
- Assembles Tools and supports operators
