The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their Grounds Management Road Crew team. This role is a great opportunity to join a skilled, supportive team dedicated to high-quality work and the larger mission of the forest preserve. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of various elements within the district preserves including turf, roads, parking lots, streams, trails and landscaping.
They are looking for a team-player with an Illinois Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with 1-3 years of experience in roadway maintenance, landscaping and general maintenance. Experience operating skid steers, front loaders and asphalt stripping highly desired. Current IL Dept. of Agriculture Pesticide Operator’s License preferred. This position works in a variety of different settings and will require travel throughout the district. Schedule is Monday – Friday 6:45 am to 2:45 pm.
