University of Illinois Extension is hiring for a part-time (80%) Horticulture/Master Gardener Program Coordinator serving the DuPage County (IL) area. This 30 hour/week position will help manage their popular Master Gardener volunteer program. Master Gardeners reach into their communities through projects and partnerships throughout DuPage County, and they also staff the Master Gardener Help Desk to assist residents with garden and landscape questions. From donation gardens to therapeutic horticulture, Extension and the corps of volunteers make a difference right here in our communities. And need the right person at the helm to help these efforts run smoothly.
This position requires high school diploma or GED; volunteer or professional work experience in coordinating educational and/or community programs or activities, and demonstrated experience and/or coursework in agriculture/horticulture and/or natural resources.
