The Westin in Lombard seeks a Barista for the evening shift. As a Barista you will fill a guest services role in supporting your hotel’s financial goals of the daily operation of the Starbucks facilities and/or other areas of the Food and Beverage departments. You will prepare and/or serve beverages and/or food to guests to ensure the highest quality of product and service standards to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize revenues and profitability by providing prompt and courteous food and beverage service in a fast-paced work environment. Responsibilities are the following:
Prepares beverages requested by customers or servers according to standard operating procedures (i.e. proper proportions and ingredients control costs provide a consistent product to the guests).
Maintains clean and organized work areas to maximize efficiency; sets up the bar and back bar according to established procedures.
Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
Performs pre and post-shift side work including stock service station makes coffee etc.

To get this job, you typically need a Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with electrical, hydraulics, programming, and mechanical PLCs is required.
We pay $2.00 per hour shift differential for all time worked on 3rd shift. *Rate of pay depends on one’s experience, education, and skills.

All Technicians are sent to College of DuPage for classes. Technicians are scheduled for a series of six mechanical and six electrical classes. Classes are during work hours, so Technicians are paid for their time in class. We adjust their hours to spend half their shift on the floor and the balance in the class. Jel Sert pays for this training which includes classroom and lab work. All Technicians are involved in this training despite their experience level.
