Systems Administrator – Call Center

The Illinois Tollway has a Systems Administrator position available. As one of the primary assistants with overall installation, maintenance, and repairs of PC-based microcomputers, operating systems, and associated software in the Tollway System, the Administrator – Call Center will assist in daily tasks required to ensure the Authority’s information technology equipment and systems run efficiently. These duties include:
- Monitors IT systems and applications by working with system programs and equipment, including HP, Dell, and Lenovo desktop computers; Lenovo, Dell, and HP laptop computers; sub-notebooks; HP/Lexmark/Xerox, etc. printers (both laser and desk jet); external scanners; tablets (i.e., iPads, Surfaces); Smartphones; USB flash drives; external hard drives; LCD monitors; Windows based OS; MS Office products (including Office 365); Adobe Acrobat Professional; and various other commercial off-the-shelf software products.
- Performs incident management of technology services and equipment following established operational standards and guidelines. Utilizing internal email and phone services, the incumbent will take initial customer requests, enters them into the management system, and accumulates documentation needed to resolve technical issues successfully.
- Works to meet internal and external customer expectations at all times by fully applying oneself to the task involved, preventing errors, and developing and implementing personal quality improvement projects. Incumbent must learn the specifics of Tollway’s platform environments.
