The DuPage County Health Department is looking for a Residential Assistant at their Wheaton Group home for the second shift, Wednesday to Saturday 12:00pm to 10:00 pm.
Working in this position, you will have the opportunity to provide life-changing assistance to adult clients, who live with behavioral health disorders. Their program focuses on teaching clients to live independently with the goal of being able to live self-sufficiently within a community. All positions provide an opportunity to make a positive difference in your community, while gaining valuable experience working in the field of Human Services.
Starting rate is $15.65 per hour, with a $2.00 per hour shift differential for second shift. Overtime is available, however, not required.
Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance to adult clients with serious mental illnesses in learning independent living skills using various methods of role modeling and motivational interviewing, demonstrating and assisting with tasks such as making a shopping list, preparing meals or following recipe instructions.
- Provides education and direction on proper hygiene and grooming and demonstrates housekeeping skills.
- Monitors overall personal safety of residents including crisis intervention.
- Participates and encourages clients with individual and group recreational activities such as sewing, cooking and art.
- Monitors medication effectiveness and may observe clients taking medications.
- Assists in facilitating transportation including assisting clients in attending all scheduled appointments.
- Performs tasks related to maintaining environmental standards in residential facilities and vehicles.
- Maintains records according to health department policies and assists in managing clients’ financial accounts.

Mental Health Recovery Support Specialist

The DuPage County Health Department is seeking a Mental Health Recovery Support Specialist to join their team. It is 20 hours per week, with flexible hours Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
As a Recovery Support Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting engagement and treatment for behavioral health clients, working with their Psychosocial Rehabilitation and CST teams.  The Recovery Support Specialist will have the ability to role mode positive recovery behaviors and assist in identifying client’s needs.
The preferred candidate will be able to assertively and compassionately engage a population that struggles with engagement. Responsibilities:
- Use one’s personal recovery experiences to facilitate and support the behavioral health recovery of others.

DuPage County Health Department’s Quality and Compliance team is excited to announce a new position. They are looking for an Infection Preventionist to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating organizational infection prevention and control (IPC) activities. You will need to have the ability to interpret regulatory and accreditation requirements, standards, and recommendations in order to develop and implement IPC-relevant policies, procedures, and associated protocols.

Some responsibilities are the following:

The department focuses on conservation and park related law enforcement along with enforcing the state criminal and traffic code. The full salary range for this position is $70,444.54 – $111,223.33 per year commensurate with credentials and experience. Duties:
- Works with Electric Utility staff to define their spatial data needs and identify opportunities with Esri-based software to meet those needs.
- Leads implementation of Utility Network and ArcGIS Pro at the Electric Utility, while maintaining functionality and integrations that are needed to meet business needs.
- Implements processes in ArcGIS Pro/Utility Network to maintain correct connectivity in Electric sub-networks (circuits).
- Designs and manages procedures that can tie together data from disparate systems to meet Electric Utility business needs.
