  • Museum Curator (part-time). Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Museum Curator is responsible for the administration of the Park District Museum which includes managing the annual budget; staffing, organizing, and booking the yearly exhibition schedule and programs; giving tours of the art exhibits; and working Museum rentals. This is a part-time, hourly (non-exempt) position. (College degree or equivalent years of experience required.)
  • Pool Swim Instructor (part-time seasonal). Under the direction of the Aquatics Supervisor/Coordinator, the swim instructor is responsible for performing a variety of duties to ensure the success of the swim lesson program. (Age 15+)
  • Group Exercise Instructor (part-time). Under the direction of the Fitness Coordinator, the Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for creating and executing group fitness classes based on the format of the class. All format instructors are encouraged to apply, special preference to Cardio, Strength, Circuit, Senior, SilverSneakers, Aqua/Water Fitness, Pilates, Youth/Kids, Step, and other specialty fitness formats. Certification(s) and experience is required. (Age 18+)

Illinois Medi-Car has immediate openings for full-time drivers to transport wheelchair-bound individuals to healthcare facilities, hospitals, testing laboratories, etc. Hourly rates are $17.00 – $21.00 an hour. The primary duties and responsibilities of the Medi-Car Driver consist of, but are not limited to the following:

  • Must demonstrate adequate levels of skill in all areas required of a Medi-Car Driver, including the ability to move a wheelchair up and down stairs, in and out of the Medi-Car.
  • Provide appropriate patient care as stipulated in their training as a Medi-Car Driver.
  • Provide safe transportation, to include accurately discerning street names through map reading, the ability to correctly distinguish house numbers, and addresses of business locations, in the most expedient manner, are essential.
  • Provide appropriate documentation for billing information.
  • Maintain the vehicle in sanitary condition, in addition to monitoring all fluid levels and gauges, and report all mechanical problems with vehicle immediately.
