Responsibilities:

- Collaborates with other service providers to ensure that necessary treatment is received; plans and implements fluoride mouth rinse programs for school children, periodically visits schools to monitor fluoride mouth rinsing activities.
- Assists in collecting, recording, and tabulating survey data needed for grant requirements and to evaluate programs; prepares reports and maintains records.
- Attends professional meetings and seminars; schedules use of portable equipment with dentists providing homebound care.

The DuPage County Health Department is looking for (2) part-time Vision and Hearing Technicians to join their team. The ideal candidates will be able to identify vision and hearing deficiencies in children, according to the “Rules and Regulations of the Child Vision and Hearing Test Act.” In this role, you will be conducting vision and hearing screening tests at local schools in the DuPage County area.
This is an opportunity to work part-time. The hours for this position are 5 days per week, 6 hours/day. The starting pay is $16.00/hour. In this unique position you will be working during the school year, with school holidays and the summers off.
